"This is one of the worse places I have worked. The management is so thin since they laid off most of them and the culture the GM creates is that of an abusive monster who is one of the most manipulative people on earth. The enjoyment is the people but they come and go.noneEverything"

Supervisor (Former Employee) says

"Asking people to do simple tasks was like pulling teeth, no one wants to move a finger. As a "supervisor" I was expected to do a three person job of the people I was supposed to be "supervising". This included pulling 500 lb furniture off high stock room shelves and bringing down 40lb car seats from the top of an A ladder (not very safe to say the least). What they preach during training is completely different than what you will experience in your store. For a place that you would spend 8 hours out of your day its extremely toxic."

"I came in before my shift, ready to ‘work’. You have to learn on the fly, disorganized, losing money due to lack of training, mislabeled items, poor put-back. They are always hiring because they are always firing. They change the rules constantly. Now I know why coworkers would sit in silence, not contribute at the huddle, except when there is a visiting rep from another buybuy Baby, wasn’t worth it. Bow their heads, do their job, get paid, leave...except for the clique."

"The guest are the only reason why most of us have stayed as long as we have. But as a manager you will be working long hours, weekends and holidays. This is a very physically demanding job, you will be on 12 foot ladders stacking heavy carseat or stroller. You will be building furniture and loading it into guest vehicles. Until the company restructures itself to fit its new busy day to day work structure I would not recommend working for this company."

"This place will literally suck out your soul, it will kill any and all happiness in your life. Take my advice; Never work here. The managers are terrible people, they do not care about any employees, and will literally tell you to “leave it outside” if you try to go to them with a problem. They will NEVER back up the employee and always take the customers side even when the customer is very clearly in the wrong, Your child could be Murdered in front of you and they would still expect you to show up for your shift."

"Their culture demonstrates favoritism and the training is lacking. The hours (over 50) are mandatory and they only allow a half hour lunch. The managers cannot do their job bc they’re doing everyone else’s jobs and the amount of physical labor is immense. Lifting and moving heavy cartons is all the time."

"The managers/key holders here play favoritism. We have people here who make inappropriate comments. People who mess around in the back offices and cash offices. Its disgusting. So many people gossip and talk about others behind their back. Manager doesn't know how to run a store, will get mad if you call out sick and if you have family emergencies. They cut your hours unexpectedly. Once LOD's are stressed, they push that onto associates. Short breaks. They don't train the new hires appropriately, they just send them on the floor and expect them to figure it out. Have had a lot of people quit due to poor management, low pay, and favoritism."

"I was a Registry consultant, love the job but hated the environment. It's very negative, no insentives, no leadership. The GM has no back bone and does not address the fact that the "leads" just sit at the furniture desk and do nothing. There is no leadership, no follow through no motivation. I overhead the GM tell one of the "Leads" that "if they think the environment is toxic then they can leave". So I did."

"Job is stressful for a small store.Hard labor for a retail store, constantly on ladders stocking.During summer, feels like no air circulating!!Shows favoritism to Caucasian employees with scheduling,duties, training,etc.Management is inconsistent of information or policies. Inconsistency with guaranteed hours. You can't get use to hours cause they fluctuate consistently.Have to request days off to get a weekend off (still may get denied).So you work every weekend.Sometimes your scheduled for 5 but only work 4 a day.DiscountNo benefits, part time job only"

"I was hired as a temporary position for the store opening however was trained for sales everyday. A few days before the store actually opened I was fired for no reason at all. I worked extremely hard with arrogant managers for minimum wage. In the contract they gave you it seems as though they're hiring you for a sales position and only asked sales questions during the interview however we only did stock. Around half of the employees they hired were fired only two weeks later. They knew during the hiring process who they wanted to keep and let go. They hired strong guys for the stock and kept the pretty faces for the actual sales positions. This is a very dodgy company and if you can, go to a different company when shopping for your baby. Also, the prices are incredibly high for no reason. You can find the exact same items in different stores for so much cheaper.Friendly Co-WorkersHorrible management, long hours"

"Nobody listened to you. Constant pressure to do more work. Heavy lifting even with a medical restriction. They don't care, unless you are in the managers pet group of the month. Tranfer you without a choice, up to 2 hours away."

"This was by far the worst company I have ever ordered from!! I placed an order online, decided that I didn't want it. Unfortunately you are not able to canc after 30 minutes!! The item got returned close to a month ago, I have yet to get a refund!!!! I have called many times with them all giving me a different story!! The man I spoke with today kept putting me on hold!! Over 20 minutes I waited for an answer..I finally hung up called back an the lady said " well we will reach out to the warehouse an when they get the email they will start the refund!!! That was the 3rd different story ..my advice to you all don't order from this company!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I had a my registry set up here and I have had the worst experience with this store. I had the sorelle chest of drawers purchased off my registry it can missing parts. I called 6 times to buy buy baby to have it replaced, the first two times i was told that the order was sent to the wrong department, then I called against after placing the same order I was told that the order was never placed. I waited two weeks to get the item shipped out to me and still nothing mind you I am about to give birth at any time. Six times in one day I spoke to someone about getting the order and nothing. They claimed that the vendor is not responding and they have to get supervisor involved."

"Bought a Christmas gift online for my granddaughter and despite a “delivery date” of 12/17I still don’t have it as of 12/22 and the website isn’t functioning for delivery updates. I called the store in Tukwila and spoke to an assistant manager who guaranteed me it would arrive the next day. It didn’t. The customer service line is an hour wait. I gave up and bought the item off Amazon which was delivered two days later, as promised. If the BuyBuyBaby item ever shows up, it’s getting returned. Now I have to fight them for a refund. The worst customer service and basic business skills ever. You will regret buying from them online!!!"

"I've ordered online with them ONCE and it will not happen again. 1. They canceled part of my order for my future niece. 2. I contacted them about an order being delayed they said to wait-I waited MUCH longer than needed. They gave me the same thing to wait. No thank you 3. They don't issue refunds they issue "refund requests" apparently. So if you don't get your items you have to HOPE they approve the request. Whatever that means 4. The agent very rudely ended the chat when I asked a question. 5. Their chat agents sound like bots and take 5-10 minutes between replies Will never shop with them again. And not be that person, but I have a lot of children in my life, including my own."

"If I could give a zero star I would. It was the biggest mistake to ever choose them to for a registry. It’s nearly Impossible to get a straight answer from customer service. The agents are all foreigners and you can’t understand a word they say. I’ve also been hung up on, on several occasions. Additionally, the agents never have any clue about the answers to my questions. They are all clueless and rude. I truly hate that I chose them for my registry."

"I ordered a baby shower gift that was supposed to be delivered on 11/20/2020. It was a comforter set and a 4 moms rocker. Well on 11/21/2020. i did receive a package. It was a bathtub inside package that was supposed to be delivered to someone in Michigan. I am located in New York. Called buy buy baby. Rep explained that she will email me and all I have to do is go into store and if they have my items, I can pick them up. Well I went to store and spoke to a manager by the name of Caitlin Forbes who told me that this is not how it works and that it has to be shipped out by warehouse. I had to wait 4-7 days cause they couldn't express ship to me do to Thanksgiving. Well it is now 12/01/2020 and I am still waiting on packages. Called and comforter was sent out but not rocker. Now they tell me I have to wait another 4-7 days for them to send out. Mind you, baby shower was 11/22/2020. Horrible customer service. Still waiting on supervisor to call me back"

"I appreciate all of your efforts to make my customer service experience more pleasant! Bought a number of shirts, all arrived with serious defects, nothing like were advertised and the quality very poor. They shipped me a cheaper dress compared to what they had on photographs in order description ordered the dress for my daughter, took over a month to be delivered, it is nothing like they advertise Awful terrible quality, holes on the clothes One dress that was supposed to have a detailed picture with two colours came blurry, and apparently they only have the capabilities to print with one colour. It took a long time to arrive, but it did and was lovely quality and in good condition. I ordered three dresses and they came in, the quality was great but they were too large. I needed one size smaller and I wanted to make an exchange. lovely quality and in good condition The problems started when I tried to return it i went on google I tried to contact customer service.
